Senior Oral Health & Healthy Ageing

Dental care that supports independence, quality of life, and systemic health in older age.

The oral health challenges of older age are real, distinct, and under-addressed. Tooth loss, dry mouth from polypharmacy, bone loss related to osteoporosis, root caries in exposed root surfaces, and the oral effects of systemic disease are all more prevalent in older adults, and all have significant impacts on nutrition, social confidence, and quality of life. Our Senior Oral Health & Healthy Ageing Centre is built to address these challenges comprehensively.

“Losing teeth is not an inevitable part of ageing. It is a preventable outcome, and it is never too late to build a better oral health trajectory.”

The Senior Programme

What Does It Involve?

Care in this centre begins with a thorough assessment that accounts for your full medical history, current medications, functional capacity, and the specific oral health changes that accompany older age. We work within your systemic health context, coordinating with physicians and specialists where needed to ensure that dental decisions are safe, appropriate, and supportive of your overall care goals.

Our approach is always to maintain what you have for as long as possible. We prioritise prevention, early intervention, and conservative management, adapting our protocols to your individual capacity and circumstances. Home care support and nutrition guidance are integral parts of our senior oral health programme.

Our Approach

Three Principles Behind Every Appointment

01

Preserve What Is There

Our first priority is always to maintain what exists. We intervene conservatively and only when intervention will genuinely improve your quality of life.

02

Medical Context Always

Older adults often have complex medical histories and medication regimens. We review these comprehensively and make our dental decisions within that full context.

03

Dignity in Every Interaction

Age does not diminish the right to be fully informed, fully involved, and treated with complete respect. Every appointment reflects that.

The Doctors Behind Your Care

Your care is led by our senior clinicians, Dr. Srivats and Dr. Param, with over 50 years of combined clinical experience. Every finding is reviewed and explained personally; we do not delegate your understanding to anyone else.
